Governance

Code of Ethics

How we work, and what clients, suppliers and viewers can hold us to.

This code applies to the Director and to anyone engaged by Smart Energy Lab Services Pty Ltd, including contractors and freelancers working on our behalf.

Honesty and lawful conduct

We act honestly and comply with Australian law, including consumer, workplace, privacy and electrical safety law. We do not offer or accept bribes, kickbacks or secret commissions.

Independence

Much of our work is independent testing, assessment and commentary on solar and battery products. Test results and technical opinions are not for sale. Sponsored or paid content is disclosed as such, and sponsorship does not change what we report. We publish findings as measured, including results a client may not like.

Conflicts of interest

We declare any interest that could affect, or appear to affect, our judgement on a piece of work, and we step back from work where a conflict cannot be managed.

Confidentiality

We keep client and supplier information confidential and use it only for the work it was provided for, unless the client agrees otherwise or the law requires disclosure.

Safety and standards

Our technical work follows the relevant Australian standards and safety requirements. We do not sign off on, or promote, work or products we believe to be unsafe or non compliant.

Fair dealing and records

We deal fairly with clients, suppliers and competitors. Our quotes, invoices and business records are accurate and complete.

Raising a concern

Concerns about conduct under this code can be raised with the Director at glen@smartenergylab.com.au. No one will be penalised for raising a concern in good faith.
