Modern Slavery Policy

Our position on forced labour and exploitation, in our own business and in our supply chain.

Smart Energy Lab Services Pty Ltd does not accept slavery, servitude, forced labour, debt bondage, human trafficking, deceptive recruiting or child labour in any part of its business or its supply chain.

Our business

Smart Energy Lab Services Pty Ltd is a small Australian company based in Victoria. Our work covers independent testing and assessment of solar and battery products, compliance consultancy, technical video production and installer training. Our suppliers are mainly test and production equipment vendors, software and hosting services, freelance production help and travel providers.

What we do about it

The Director is responsible for this policy and for how we deal with suppliers.

When we choose suppliers, we take account of where and how their goods are made. We prefer suppliers who publish a modern slavery statement or can describe their labour practices when asked.

We pay suppliers and contractors fairly and on time, and we engage workers in Australia in line with Australian workplace law.

If we become aware of slavery or similar exploitation in our supply chain, we will raise it with the supplier and, if it is not resolved, stop dealing with them.

Anyone can report a concern about slavery or labour exploitation connected with our business to the Director at glen@smartenergylab.com.au. Reports can be made anonymously and no one will be penalised for raising a concern in good faith.
